White Contained in Round Container with Package of Buttons (Complete), Yellow in Cello Package with Buttons (Some Buttons May be Missing as Cello Bag is Torn on Top a Little, Found 2 Outside, not Sure if Any is in the Bag)
Direction Says it  Makes 3 Sweaters and Cuddle Caps on Each/Total of 6 Sets

We are offering another pair of Knit Kits in their original vintage packages from 1957-59 for Vogue Ginny, Ginnette, Jill or Jan.  They first came out in 1957 as a promotion of the new Jill doll coming out.  Each kit contained enough yarn to make 3 sweaters and what they referred to as cuddle caps.  All they said was that you would need a certain size needles that were not included.  The round cylinder (white) container contains the yarn, buttons and may have the instructions printed on the inside of the label.  It has not been opened and buttons are still in little cellophane bag.  We don't want to open it since it appears it probably may never have been opened, never used.  The round cello container (white) is in wonderful unused condition (see photos) all intact, cardboard bottom has a few wrinkles (see photo).  Pretty  yellow (photos may make the yarn look a little darker or lighter than in person) still in original factory cello bag with label but the cello is starting to tear and buttons are loose (as mention, not sure how many are there now, we found 2 that are loose outside the bag, whether are more inside between the yarn we don't know until it is opened) but is also unused.  You can see information about the kits Vogue offered in the Izen/Stover Collectible Encyclopedia of Vogue Doll reference book in 1957 Ginny section and in the 1958 Jill section.   Cello round container mentions  just the 3;  Ginny, Ginnette and Jill; labeled bag mentions Jan too.
You can see the printed out paper with directions that were included in the cello bag set.  After checking the references we believe the bag set is the second issue packaging as this didn't come along until they came out with Jan as her name is now indicated on the packaging, previously not.
These are adorable just for display or if there are any collectors who want to do some knitting and add to your dolls wardrobes, these kits may work for you.  Cute to display too.
You are bidding on two kits, each different in color and container.  Sweet and imagine the possibilities of doing a yellow/white combination sweater and cap set having the two different sets.  Love these little extras Vogue came out with for their dolls and to keep everyone busy.
