Victoria Austria Watteau Scene Courting Couple Maroon Charger C. 1904-1918
Very pretty porcelain charger with Baroque courting couple and dog in the center. With a maroon border with cameo / framed smaller courting couple scenes surrounded by gold gilded leaves. With small gold gilded snow flakes or stars over the maroon and gold gilding along the fancy molded edge. Signed Boucher under the scene.
Marked on the reverse with a blue Victoria crown Austria mark. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Schmidt & Company between 1904 and 1918.
Has wear to the gilding and a few scratches to the maroon border. Also has two glazed over in manufacture chips to the back edge. Still a very pretty charger.
Measures approximately 11 3/4 inches wide x 2 inches tall.
