Do you love the more elusive and not as often seen early strung Ginny dolls and love the color blue; than this early 1951 Ginny doll may just be one you might enjoy.  We are offering a darling early strung Vogue Ginny doll that comes to you from our long time collection, named Miss Muffet and is all factory Vogue (other than being restrung).  We have enjoyed her but it is now time that she  go to a new owner to continue to be enjoyed.  She comes to you  wearing her complete and excellent outfit, excellent oil cloth original Vogue center snap shoes (may show minor wear) and her vintage original as issued cotton white socks.    An adorable doll ready to find a new home.  Please take a look at all her photos and see if she isn't one for you or makes a great gift for a loved one.  She is from the  Frolicking Fables Group and also came in yellow checked.  She was issued with both a red spoon and also a white.  You are bidding on the blue checked version with white spoon as shown and not often seen offered; very sweet doll we think many might enjoy, so please take a look and see what you think.
DETAILS
Ginny is an 8" hard plastic strung doll marked on her back Vogue Doll.  No splits, no cracks; restrung as the old rubber bands break over the years so now you can pose her without the fear of her falling apart while on display.  She is one of the Character Group Vogue Ginny dolls issued in 1951; sleep eye transitional with the vibrant red saran original factory wig and the pale brows/lashes that are so typical of many of the early dolls Vogue produced.   Her original factory wig still retains most of the original set and is nice and thick, very pretty.  She has the small root beer color eyes that you often see with this hair color too, they are not glaring as some, more brown and the smaller pupils/eyes that give a little softer overall look.   Eyes do need assistance to open and close, common for these early dolls.  She has a beautiful in person presence and is one of our favorite character strung Ginny's Vogue offered over the years. You rarely see her offered and especially in this condition.
Her outfit consists of  an adorable blue checked long dress with matching bonnet, pantaloons, white cotton original socks and black CS shoes.  Outfit is free of stains, no tears and no repairs.  Original ribbon tie on bonnet shows some lightening due to age.  Hook and eye closure shows no stains or discoloration.  She retains her original white Miss Muffet spoon as she came to use (we have had her a few times over our long time collecting years and spoon came both in white and red).  Her center snap black oil cloth shoes are excellent with good snap closures too.
No redo's, no touchups or repairs to doll or outfit other than the necessity of restringing which is common.  A special doll that we think many would enjoy.
