Vogue made very few strung Ginny dressed boy dolls and a very limited number of  outfits you could buy to dress them in if you happen to purchase a basic doll in box.  We are offering an original Ginny boy doll from 1952.  Ginny is the somewhat hard-to-find FISHERMAN from the  Sport Series of Vogue Dolls that comes with the very rare to find fishing pole; sadly the "fish got away" but he was assured there is always a chance to catch another if he moves where there are more opportunities to fish.   Ginny has sleep eyes that do need assistance to open and close which is acceptable to most collectors, and quite common.  They are a very pretty dark brown.   He is marked Vogue Doll on his back, all hard plastic & jointed at neck, arms and legs; all fingers intact with no breaks.   He comes wearing his all original outfit, rare fishing pole (original Vogue item, not a replacement)!  Outfit (overalls) is not tagged and this is quite common with the early Vogue Ginny outfits.  We guarantee that there are no repro or replacements; all vintage factory Vogue.   This is one of many favorite  from our collection.   We always loved the sport series and especially ones with the accessory pieces.   The fisherman had the sleeveless attached top to the jeans but he has also been found with a half-sleeve plaid topped overall but different from the square dancer Otto set.  The square dancer Otto outfit had a felt pocket with a horseshoe on the back and the fisherman's with the half-sleeve did not, nor did the sleeveless style.  This active outdoor fellow is wearing the sleeveless trimmed flannel top and denim pant one piece set.
A darling doll that you don't often see in this condition.  If you love this era & series then we guarantee you will adore him.
Additional Details
Ginny is a strung 8" hard plastic doll, marked "A Vogue Doll" on back. Has beautiful coloring with no touchups! Nice visible  tosca lashes/brows, (we tried to capture them in the photos) excellent factory blushed cheek coloring (no rubs) and a beautiful tosca color full head of hair (original factory wig).   He has beautiful brown eyes that do need assistance to open and close which is common and acceptable to the majority of collectors. This adorable fisherman comes to you wearing his original one piece denim look jeans and flannel plaid attached top  in great condition (appears untagged), yellow slicker with front hooks still intact and not torn or not pulling out yet (different from the rain slicker that had a zipper in 1953) great condition.   His slicker is still nice and has the typical stiffness that this type of material generally does; there are no tears or repairs.  One faint very light blue mark in back of slicker; we haven't tried to remove it but it is rather light (see photo).   His original black fisherman hat (Vogue used this also for the rain slicker in 1953) is in great condition with original chin strap that is in good shape and still has stretch/bounce to it.  Black original fuzzy boots so his feet don't get wet when he is standing in the stream trying to catch a fish.
He/she wouldn't be almost complete if it weren't for his factory fishing pole which is excellent with no breaks; works to move the line up and down and has the original hook and line; operates well.  Oh, look ..... oops he lost the fish he caught, but the season has just started so he will try again when he goes to his new home.  The original pole  is rather hard to find, rare in fact as is his correctly marked silver tag which reads A Vogue Doll on one side and "Fisherman" on the other.  The original poles were plastic and they were often lost or broken by their little owners or other siblings; a cute toy itself.  The fishing reel still works when you wind it the line with original hook moves and you can reel in the next fish this little Fisherman might catch.  The line is the original as is the plastic hook.   These accessories are considered rare by most collectors

original factory 1950's tag and not a reproduction tag
.   He has a lot going for him; great hair in the original factory set even after a day of fishing (no rubber band residue, we'll leave removing the band up to the new owner which was how Vogue held the wigs on when made after gluing).  Beautiful brown eyes, high coloring with no obvious issues and a fantastic original Vogue fisherman complete outfit (other than the fish that got away) that he wears with his authentic Vogue issued fishing pole.   We think most collectors would be very pleased to add him to their collection. He could be considered a girl  fisherman as in the 1950's many little girls had the short cut or cropped or bobbed hair style.
Box bottom is marked undressed doll boy and hair color is illegible, box bottom is included with him and you don't often see the marked "boy" doll boxes.
