Royal Vienna Hand Painted Dresden Floral & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer Circa 1786
Beautiful porcelain coffee cup with entwined handle and saucer. Decorated with hand painted pink, purple, orange, blue and yellow flowers. With gold gilt scrollwork along the edge and gilt highlights to the entwined handle. The cup is marked with a blue underglaze beehive/shield mark and an impressed 86 or 80 for 1786 or 1780. The saucer has an impressed beehive/shield mark.
Has a small poorly repaired chip to the lip of the cup and some wear to the gilding. No additional chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
