    Description

    Brand new hand made Traditional fountain pen with a body and cap hand turned from a slat from an authentic Jim Beam Bourbon oak barrel.
    It is NOT stained or dyed
    beyond the natural coloring from the bourbon. Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity card. The cap of this fountain pen snap mounts onto the top and bottom of the barrel. The clip on the cap shows some very minor nibbling in the black enamel (see photo). The pen body and cap were skillfully hand turned from rough solid Oak by us here in our shop in Michigan (USA). Each rough stock blank that we create our pieces from is unique, ensuring that no two are alike. After shaping, the body and cap are then sealed and finished with at least 15 coats of strong and very durable cyanoacrylate (CA) and then polished and buffed to a beautifully glass smooth and reflective high gloss finish with no open pores or grains. The end results are not only visually striking but also extremely durable and able to withstand moisture and handling without fear of damage. No stains or dyes are ever used. What you are seeing is the natural beauty and color of the Oak wood itself preserved, sealed and stabilized beneath the crystal clear finish. Please note that because it is sealed with a finish, there is no bourbon aroma.
    This fountain pen has an iridium "B". Included are two ink cartridge refills as well as an optional piston converter in case you wish to use your own bottled ink instead. To install either, simply un-thread the bottom section of the pen. Instructions for using piston converters can easily be found online. Display stand is not included.
