June 19, 1989 ( 6/19/1989 ) !!!  A Show much-better known to the Deadhead Nation as ... ' The Show Before ' ... the '89 Summer Tour " Summer Solstice " National Pay-Per-View Televised Broadcast !!!  Whoa !?!!!  A moment in both ! Time & Space where most Every ! loyal Dead Fan out there knows just-exactly where they were sitting ... and who they were sitting with !!!  Wow ... Memories-Deluxe !!!  And, just Sooooo-Incredibly-Hot !  As, facts have it ... this Monday Night Show on 6/19/89 did indeed feature the Stranger > Franklin's Show-Opener !!!  And ... the Set II Opener China > Rider !! Bomb !!!  YEAH !!!  And this Show just got Cooked ! simply toe-to-toe ... Wow !  The Walkin' Blues was giddy !  The Candyman was juicy !  The Push was Hot !!  The Memphis Blues got ' Aced ' !!  And the Bird Song got nice & deep ... and way-Spacey ! for a Set Closer.  And, that was all in Set I !  After the China > Rider Heater ! ... the Band shot like a cannon into Playin' ! - then took it into Crazy Fingers ... and then right ! back into Playing In The Band !!!  Brent put All ! of that Heart & Soul into Take You Home ... Garcia played-out Black Peter just So-Sweet !  And then ... Throwin' > N.F.A. !!!  And ... let me tell you, as there was no-signs ! of " Throwin' it Away " on this Red-Hot night of G.D. -- Whoa !!?!!!!  I mean they had to treat this night as the 2nd straight " Tune-Up " night for such an Incredibly-Huge ! National T.V. Broadcast Event ... and they went-at-it !  And ... maybe so-hard that they even ' Cooked ' some of the equipment & amps ... as I'm sure you can remember the Hilarious ! episode at the beginning of the 6/21/89 Summer Solstice T.V. Show - where Bobby actually Kicked ! the failing Guitar Rig ... the " Ace Rack " !!!  Ha !  And then ... Garcia had to rise to the occasion to play a seemingly endless " Hideaway " !!!  So incredibly Classic ...  So, if your weren't in-there on 6/19/89, and you have yet to hear this Show - I so-highly recommend this one !  An '89 Summer Tour Show ! that is indeed every bit as Hot !! as the Rick Griffin Backstage Pass !!! that represents it !!!!  Ahhh ... yes ... Shoreline !!!  --  Enjoy !!!!!
