Grateful Dead appearances in Portland, ME !!!  And offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for this '79 Spring Tour Show at the Cumberland County Coliseum in Portland, Maine !!!  Wow ... just-as this Pass well shows - " Nothin' Is Shakin' On Shakedown Street " !!!!!  What a G.D. Pass Design !!! - to say the very-least ... the Gilbert Shelton Grateful Dead " Shakedown Street " Cover Art Masterpiece !  Straight from 1979 ! ... and for a Dead Show in Portland, Maine !!!  I mean come on ... as far as the Coolest ! of the Coolest !! in G.D. Pass designs go ?  I mean we are talking about the Shakedown Street ! logo here Fans ... The Grateful Dead still ! Touring a little Shakedown Street Era-goods ... and right in Portland !  The " Portland " on the ' Right ' Side too ... as I'll indeed be sending this to You ! from the other " Portland " on the ' Left ' Side - or, as we like to always call it ... should I say tongue-in-cheek - " The Left Coast ! ".  And, you know ... the one The Grateful Dead ! is from.  Ha !  Dang ... and let me tell you - this 5/13/79 Show was actually the Final-Night ! of this 1979 " May " Tour, as the Band played U. Mass - Amherst the night before - and then didn't play another Show until late-June ( 6/28/79 ) in Sacramento, CA !  So, though maybe just a ' tad ' road-worn ... they still ! completely brought " The Heat " !!!  As this Show really set it's self up for a Mean !!! 2nd Set, while the Music Played The Band !!!  Sugaree ! opened this Show, with Jack-A-Roe - All Over Now & the Jack Straw ' set-closer ' really meaning the most to my Dead Fan ears ... & Mind !  It should be noted too ... that this Jack Straw Smoked !!!  Doing the absolute ' reverse ' for a mellower type 1st Set, that delivered some of the heaviest up-tempo during the Mama Tried > Mexicali !  And then ... Look-Out ( Below ! ) for Set II !!!!!  Scarlet > Fire !!!!!  Estimated > He's Gone > Truckin' ! ... Drums / Space > Wharf Rat > Around ... with a U.S. Blues ! Encore.  Some seriously " Good Ol' Grateful Dead " ... in '79 ! - let me tell ya'.  This whole darn May Tour '79 East Coast run was Remarkably-Hot ! - with this Show bringing much of the same-type of Jerry G. ! & Co. Grateful Dead Magic !!!  My goodness, as did these Boys just Love ! to Smoke !! the East Coast !!!  It was like a hobby, or targeted ' Passion ' ... and in '79, dang did they ever still have the Live-Firepower !!!  And yeah ... aimed right-at Portland ! ... Maine !! - on May 13, 1979 !!!  Awesome, for sure ... What a G.D. Backstage Pass !! ... Enjoy !!!!!
