Grateful Ducks Everywhere !!! ... The ' Triumphant Return ! ' of The Grateful Dead ! to that very sacred-ground in the midst of the Willamette Valley better known as Autzen Stadium !! - the Very-Proud ! Home of the University of Oregon Mighty Ducks !!! ... on August 21, 1993 ( 8/21/1993 ) in Eugene, Oregon !!  Yes indeed ... as offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the August 21, 1993 ( 8/21/93 ) Show from this Legendary 2-Night Stand !! of the Grateful Dead in Eugene - back at Duck U. !!!  A Truly-Hilarious ! Cartoon-like G.D. Backstage Pass ( designed by Tony Reonegro ! ) for this Beyond-Monumental ! August '93 " G.D. Return !" to Mighty Autzen ! ... in the Red-Hot ! Oregon Sunshine !!!  And, as for this design itself ? ... an Instant-Classic ! - and most-definitely one that Shines on the Stage Crew Light !  I mean ... ' Shine On Me !! '.  This one was designed by Reonegro in '93 - only date-issued once ! for this 8/21/93 Show ! - featuring a Stage Crew " Lighting-Lady " right in action - shining the lights down right on the front-stage !!  A Very-cool design ! - for a Hot ! & Historic !!! day at the U.f.O - Ooops ! - I mean the U of O !!  Plus, it is very-important to also note also that this Show did take place right in the ' Hot ' Oregon Sunshine !  Because as ( the true ! ) rumor has it ... it " Never Rains In Autzen Stadium !!! ".  In fact ... this was actually the very first time that the Grateful Dead played at the U of O ( or anywhere in Oregon ! ) since the 1990 Summer Tour !!  And why ? ... you might ask ??  Well, you see - here was the thing ... the Grateful Dead were so-unfortunately ' Banned ' From & By ! the U of O for numerous troubles with fan behavior, etc., etc., etc. - until ... Jerry Garcia ! himself !! took care of this little ( Big ! ) problem all on his own ... and almost by simply fortunate coincidence ! ... or, a " Simple Twist Of Fate ! " - if I may.  Just-like when All ! of the Planets & Stars align - sort of like during a Smoldering Drums > Space ! ... in Mighty Autzen !!  Ha !  So, anyways ... Garcia ran into Dan Williams ( U of President - at the time ) in Hawaii ! where Dan & his Wife were vacationing - and so was Garcia ! - as he was Scuba-Diving !!  Dan & his Wide saw Garcia down there - and Dan's Wife thought it would be pretty cool for Dan to go & introduce himself to Jerry ! - and also ... ask for a photo of them together !!  Jerry obliged - naturally ... but ! - with only one very-small ' Stipulation ' ... " Why don't you let us come back to play in Eugene ?! - because we really love playing there !? ".  Well Folks ... That ! was all it took - and was indeed all she wrote ... as 8/21/93 ! & 8/22/93 ! were then ' Officially-Booked ' just shortly thereafter !! - and the rest was all G.D. & Duck U. History !!! in August 1993 !!  And, also Amazingly ! ... a ' Last & Final ' 3-Show stand at Autzen ! on the 1994 Summer Tour !! was also  allowed - again ! ... as well !!!  Five ( 5 ) !!!!! More 1993 / 1994 Grateful Dead Shows !! at the U of O !!!  " Duck U'r Face !!!!!
