Old meets new – the authentic lever action mechanism that extends and retracts this ink pen refill brings to mind the look and feel of the lever action rifle made famous by the cowboys of the American West. The intricate filigree details on the cap are extremely crisp and clean.
As a world renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine writing instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. Each blank was measured and drilled before inserting a brass tube. They were then trued on each end before being placed on my Delta midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took them through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed by a three step polishing resulting in a glass like finish.
