    Description

This is a Ginny case #828, packed with Ginny doll dresses and accessories.
The case is in good condition with some rubs on the corners and along the edges. There is a worn area on the bottom. The handle and gold latch work perfectly.  The hinges are strong and work really well. The paper lining on the inside is just coming loose along the upright top edge of the bottom half for about 3“. You can see it in picture 3. There is a blue quilted fabric on the inside of the lid with lace around the edges and sparkly bows in all 4 corners.
    Inside you will find:
A 1954 tagged nurse outfit with cap and bloomers 1954. The elastic is stretched on the cap, but it's otherwise in good condition.
A tagged red flannel nightgown with matching cap in very good condition.
A white fur coat and hat, tagged and in good very good condition.
A 1952 tagged Tiny Miss series #41 dress, with blue striped fabric. The white fabric on the top of the skirt has a section about an inch in the back, where the fabric has deteriorated from age. It’s very fragile and has split in a couple of areas within the inch area. The strap on one shoulder has frayed and the trim has been lost.
A cotton nightgown with pink printed diamonds on it.  One of the pink ribbons has come off the back, but I have included it. It's in good condition.
A flannel bathrobe with blue dots. Good condition
A navy blue tagged coat with a big eyelet collar and cuffs. It’s in very good condition.
    Also included:
    Silver glasses.
    Yellow rubber necklace and bracelet
Curlers: 4 blue and 1 pink along with beauty cape that she tied around her neck. The top to the plastic clear container is included.
A brown plastic belt with buckle.
    3 pairs of Ginny panties.
7 white socks and 2 blue socks.
    A pair of red bloomers.
4 white fabric shoes that tied with ribbons. Several have one torn hole.
2 pink satin shoes, with one hole that is torn.
    1 red snap shoe.
2 blue rubber shoes in good shape.
Pair of pink shoes. Great condition, just slight different shades of pink
A teddy bear from that era.
A blue dot nylon Ginny dress that wasn’t completely finished (it came from the factory like that, by way of my friend’s mother).
2 fancy knitted dresses that my  Grandmother made. One is light blue with beaded flower front, panties and a head cap with beads on both sides. The other is a light purple skirt with attached panties and a jacket style top, edged in white, as are the cuffs. It has 3 pearl buttons and a pom pom hat.
In the early 1950s, my best friend's mother worked at the Vogue factory in Medford MA, not far from my house. She often used to bring me Ginny and Ginnette outfits from that factory, and I would play with them with great loving care. I don't specifically remember if she brought me these particular items, or if perhaps Santa left them under the tree. My Ginny days are over now, and I am finding new homes for these items, where they will be appreciated for the link to the past that they are.
